My sister, Amy, had Kyndall Ann Kinderknecht on January 23, 2012. From the day she told me she was pregnant I was SO excited. I was never use to being around babies but I always wished I had a younger sibling. Not long after she told me it was a girl I was already out buying baby clothes. It was then that I knew this little girl had already found her way into my heart.
On January 22nd I got a text pretty late saying that the baby was coming. I had no idea what to do. I didn't know whether I should drive there right away or wait until morning. After calling Luke I ended up deciding to wait until the next day. He came over to my dorm to try to calm me down but I pretty much got no sleep at all. Once I woke up for class the next morning I saw that Jordan had sent me a picture. As soon as I looked at it my heart stopped. There she was.. The little girl that had been squished in my sister for nine months.. She was here... and she was beautiful.
Luke and I headed to Salina after class and went to go see her at the hospital. The first thing I noticed when I saw her was how much hair she had. I don't think I even had that much hair when I was three years old. After I looked at her more closely I also noticed her cheeks were huge. They had her wrapped up so tight she looked like a little Eskimo. It didn't really surprise me but the first time I held her she bawled. I wasn't comfortable with her at all. I always felt like I was going to drop her or break something.
That was almost three months ago.... a lot has happened since then.
