My roommate and I headed to Salina on Friday after class. When we arrived, Amy had just got back with Kyndall from daycare. The first thing I noticed about her is how much she drools now. She's still been sneezing and coughing a little too. When she was fed she now eats as much as 6 ounces each time! No wonder she still has a double chin.
Saturday morning I woke up with Kyndall at about 8. As soon as I walked over to her crib she looked up at me with a big smile. Her expression was like she new something hilarious was going to happen. As soon as I picked her up I knew why she was smiling. She pooped.. and I had never changed one of those diapers before. Let's just say that was a first experience for the both of us. Between me gagging and her kicking, I'm surprised nothing wound up on the floor. She gets really excited when you change her now and she's also started playing with things. They have toys where she can lay down and reach up to grab things. That doesn't usually entertain her for long though. Her legs are getting really strong. One of her favorite things is when you hold her up like she's standing. At times it feels like she doesn't even need your support. Tummy time is something she doesn't really enjoy though. Sometimes she likes to sit up in her bumbo but she only likes it if she can see you or watch the TV.
I had a great time going to see her. When she's in a good mood, she would just lay in my lap and sit there for awhile. She doesn't always like laying down. Now that she has more control in her neck she likes sitting up or standing. Her baptism as far as I know will be scheduled on May 20th. I'll be posting some new pictures soon. Can't wait to see her again!
